Sales is a concept that is closely related with marketing but sales is a little it different since it involves the acquisition of the product. The sales person changes the ownership of the product at the point of contact with the customer. There different methods of doing sales, either in terms of aggressiveness or even in terms of the product being sold.

To start with, there is the agency based kind of sales. This is the type that an agent sells the products on behalf of the company, usually a bigger company. This means that, a person can be a sales agent a certain insurance firm in town or a real estate. The advantage here is that, you sell goods that are highly valued in terms of the money involved. Such products include things such as the houses or even insurance products.

The other type is the direct selling. This is where by the sales person or the seller comes into contact with the buyer. This involves a sales person taking goods to the consumer.
